Sunol Glen Unified School District is an equal opportunity employer.
COMPLAINTS
The Sunol Glen Unified School District takes all concerns and complaints seriously. The District values the concerns of our parents, staff, students and community. The Governing Board accepts responsibility for providing a means by which the public can hold employees accountable for their actions. The Board desires that the complaints be resolved in a timely manner and without disrupting the educational process.
Every attempt is made to resolve complaints informally and at the lowest level possible. In the instances when that is not possible, a formal process is in place. All complaints related to district personnel other than administrators shall be submitted in writing to the Superintendent. A form has been created to assist a complainant in filing the complaint and can be located on the Sunol Glen Website. COMPLAINT FORM
If the complainant is unable to prepare the complaint in writing, administrative staff shall help him/her to do so. Complaints related to a Board member or to the Superintendent shall be initially filed in writing with the Governing Board President.
Uniform Complaint Procedures
A Uniform complaint is a written and signed statement alleging a violation of federal or state laws or regulations, which may include an allegation of unlawful discrimination, harassment, intimidation, or bullying. If the complainant is unable to put the complaint in writing, due to conditions such as a disability or illiteracy, the agency shall assist the complainant in the filing of the complaint.
The Board encourages the early, informal resolution of complaints at the site level whenever possible.
